pnw fall engagement session | discovery park, wa | seattle wedding photographer | michayla & dayne
A fall colored engagement session was all that was on Michayla's mind. We scheduled our session just in time before the leaves really started to fall off the trees and it quickly turned from fall to winter in the Seattle area.
Discovery Park in Seattle was just the spot to get all of those fall colors for their engagement session!
There is a funny little story about these two. Michayla had her venue booked, and booked me as their photographer before Dayne had proposed! We even had their engagement session scheduled before. Michayla and Dayne are huge Disneyland fans and they had a trip to Dland planned the week before our session.
Michayla was positive the proposal would happen there, and she was absolutely right:

Dayne's sister and I did gymnastics together so we met when I was in 9th grade (2007). We didn't start talking until we coached together in 2011 and his mom would throw not so subtle hints at us that we would make super cute babies. I remember the first time I met him and my friend and I both said "he's super cute, but we would never date him because he was our friends big brother." Turns out I was wrong!
We went on a date to the drive in movie theater. We had been hanging out with this group of friends that all coached together and he told them all to say they couldn't go so that we could go just the two of us. When we got there, it was only us and one other car and it was super sketchy. Also I was afraid to eat in front of him, so I drank water while he ate popcorn and candy next to me.
We like to cook together and go out on date nights. We also like to watch game of thrones, but most importantly, we love going to Disneyland together!
