snoqualmie pass engagement session | snoqualmie, wa | seattle wedding photographer | kaitlin & eric
I have driven along I-90 SO many times and every time I pass by this spot, I always say I would love to do a shoot there. You can see there is a boat launch on the other side of Keechulus Lake so finally one day as we drove by I dropped a pin on that spot.
When Kaitlin and Eric were looking for location recommendations this was the first that came to mind! They were up for this beautiful Snoqualmie Pass setting for their engagement photos.
Kaitlin and Eric are getting married in Kansas City next year! Kaitlin lives in Washington, while Eric lives in the Midwest at the moment, with plans to be together in one spot next summer! They had plans for Eric to be visiting and it worked out perfectly I had that weekend open. So we headed to Snoqualmie and it was magical with snow dusted mountains and so many perfect spots!
I love sharing my couples stories, how they met, proposal and what they love to do together, so here is it from Kaitlin:
We met on our first day of undergrad at Kansas State University. We had a class together and met briefly, but we didn't really start talking for a few months after that, and we didn't start dating until the next semester. Our first real date was a classic - dinner and a movie.
We went on a trip to North Carolina after I graduated vet school, after six years of dating. Eric took me on a hike up Looking Glass Rock in Pisgah National Forest. We were alone at the top of the rock, and Eric asked me to stand up so we could take a picture...but I told him I was starving after the hike and wanted to have our lunch. After I finished my sandwich, I stood up for the picture, and he knelt down and asked me to marry him.
We love traveling, hiking, cooking, and watching movies together. I have been converting him to a coffee drinker, and he has been getting me into IPAs. :)
