Hi! I'm April! The women behind it all over here in my corner of the internet! I am a passionate soul on a mission to create experiences and connect with my couples through wedding photography, photographers through mentoring & workshops and other creative entrepreneurs through speaking, the Hustle with Heart podcast, in person events & retreats!

I’m not sure what the future holds. But I think that’s the point. Love your days fully, make choices for the best of you & your family. Set a destination, but be ready for the journey and accept that the destination WILL change. It’s not about if, it’s about when. Many people are too afraid that their “path” to the destination is going to be disrupted, so they never set out into motion. Don’t let the interruption (or fear of it) DISRUPT your desires; mold, embrace, shift, and change. Adaptability is one of the strongest character traits a person can have. 💛
I’ve never felt more excited, challenged, & connected with other like minds.... and it’s building!! If you head to my stories you will see... I am looking for 3 more people to join my Monat team this month!! Things you might be thinking; I already run a business, I don’t have time, really April, direct sales come on? .... . I’m going to squash all your complaints/excuses/stigmas that you might be carrying around because I had them all to. 6 weeks ago I thought the same things but creating a second stream of income(not to mention to be able to start it with a few hundred dollars!) well it’s a no brainer! I had ALL the time when I started focusing on what I was putting my time towards, and don’t you worry - there are mega tools and resources that help with time management. You can work on this business for 1 focused hour a day and do amazing things with it! And to the stigma around direct sales, our team says no thank you to that and we represent the brand as users and lovers of the product, as powerhouse business women taking hold of opportunity when it comes flying right by. The spouts of rain did not stop us from hopping on the ferry for an amazing time, and we even got down to the beach and back to the ferry to catch the same one home! @tara8713 and @patbmayer thank you for braving it all with me, being open, laughing, kissing, nuzzling, and even brought out the game face for some extra moodiness. I cannot wait to be there for you two on the big day in July! 💛

I took on a task @msrachelhollis asks her readers to do in her new book Girl, Stop Apologizing. Her 10-10-1 : in 10 years what are 10 dreams that you want to happen in your life. Here is how she lays it out; open a notebook and write down in 10 years what would the best version of yourself be doing, what’s does she look like, what does she wear, what kind of car does she drive, how does she love, how is she loved, does she read? Run? What is her favorite restaurant or food or where does She vacation? Who is in your life, what does the week look like? Are you happy, driven? What are your relationships like? Be specific. Write and keep writing and make it an even bigger version of that self. . . Go do it: don’t worry this post will still be here when you get back. . . Okay, so what are the 10 dreams that you can write down from your best version of yourself exercise .... write them down as if they have already happened, here’s an example from mine; “I travel when I want to and vacation every year with my family” . . Got the 10 dreams listed like everything is right here with you? K, what’s one goal you can get going toward (in specific) to start making the dreams really real. And don’t get ahead of yourself.... always ONE thing at a time. Focus and key efforts in one area, skill, goal you have is necessary. ONE AT A TIME. When you get it nailed down, move onto the next. Revisit this exercise every few months, make sure your vision is still centered. What is the force behind all of your focus and efforts? your why. . .
